What if the code is really bad?
It happens, and it is not the end of the project. There is almost always a middle path: stabilize what works and replace piece by piece. If starting over is genuinely the better call, we say so even when it makes for a harder sell.
Do you need the previous vendor to cooperate?
It helps, but we do not count on it. Most rescues start with nobody to ask: that is exactly why the audit exists.
How much does the audit cost?
It is quoted according to the size of the system and it is a deliverable in itself: you keep the report and the plan, whether or not you work with us afterwards.
